Orthopantomogram  (OPG)
istockphoto-1295604003-612x612.jpg

OPG is a panoramic dental X-ray of both upper and lower jaws. It shows a 2D view from ear to ear. It shows the number, position and growth of all teeth including those that have not yet erupted through gums. It can be particularly useful to check for wisdom teeth and the development of jaw and teeth.

It has a broader coverage of facial bones and teeth including the Temporomandibular joint and uses very low radiation. The images are stored digitally in the patient's file and can be reviewed.

It is a diagnostic tool that can be used as part of dental checkups and will prevent unnecessary issues.
