-regular teeth cleaning

-routine x-rays for early detection of dental caries and root abscess

Preventive dentistry always starts at home, developing good /healthy dental habits early can help in reducing dental caries/gingivitis and periodontitis. These practices include

  •  Regular brushing - At least twice daily

  •  Regular use of floss to clean the food particles stuck between teeth and clean the areas the toothbrush can't reach

  •  Avoidance of high carbohydrate foods which increase plaque formation and acidic foods which may damage the enamel

  • Regular use of mouth wash after food to remove the food particles after flossing etc.

Regular checkups at the dentist's office can help in early diagnosis and treatment. They can identify the dental problems in the early stage and treat them accordingly which in turn reduces the cost.

Reduces the risks of developing tooth decay/gum diseases and more serious dental problems in the future. Also reduces the dental problems associated with chronic illness/medical conditions such as diabetes mellitus / osteoarthritis / osteoporosis / cancer etc...
